Firefox Freezes

Lately I've been having some problems with Firefox freezing. I'm using release 3.0.11 on Mac OS X and sometimes when I go into Gmail or even Twitter, I cannot push buttons. It doesn't seem to happen when I first start Firefox, but after I've been running it for a little bit. I just wonder if anyone else has had any similar issues with Firefox occasionally freezing on them. The way I solve the issue is simply by restarting Firefox when this happens, so it does seem to be some sort of cache/memory issue. I haven't been convinced to switch completely away from Firefox but I have been using Safari more and more.

  1. Yep I've noticed that too, thought it was due to twitterfox latest version or my big navigation history, but I'm not sure. I'm using ArchLinux.

  4. I get this as well, and Im pretty relived its not just me! Im running on Vista, and everything was fine up until about 6 weeks ago at which point Firefox would stop responding, and also continue running when closed forcing me to end the process.

  5. A possible solution would be to Disable your addons, and re-enable them one by one, till you find the problematic addon. Also, i have run into issues with Toolbars in Firefox. if you have a toolbar from an Anti-virus or similar company, disable it. might help.
